Cascading down the cliffs to the private beach the private hotel gardens are decorated with ceramics in Neapolitan style, luxuriant foliage spills through the windows of the elegant hotel rooms. You enter Hotel Il San Pietro di Positano by the elevator which takes you down through the cliffs into the hotel lobby which is a bright room with floors made of terracotta designed by Neapolitan ceramic experts. Without doubt you will be impressed by the rooms and suites even before you enter them: Marvellous decorations grace the doors, painted by famous artists.
The beach was created in front of one of the most fascinating caves of the promontory; with a sunbathing platform, a bar on the rocks, a tennis court surrounded by a rose garden and flower-filled terraces on all slopes. These terraces offer endless vistas of the Thyrennian Sea and the imposing Lattari Mountains. Sunny, bright and simply Mediterranean, they are favourite places for guests' cocktails and relaxation. From the main terrace of the hotel you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the isle of Li Galli, the town of Praiano and the Amalfi Coast as far as the Faraglioni Rocks of Capri. Or you can enjoy the worldwide famous stunning view of Positano.
