Lucknam Park is a Manor House built in 1720 in Palladian style. The Lucknam Park Hotel has been a family home till 1987, when it was transformed into the today's marvellous country house hotel. It's only 10kms (6 miles) from historic Bath with its Roman excavations and neighbours the hamlet of Thickwood a good mile north of the small town of Colerne.
Hotel Lucknam Park is located in Wiltshire which is host to the world famous Stonehenge, the Avebury Stonecircle and numerous stoneage paintings. Other nearby attractions are the cathedral of Salisbury and of course many famous houses and gardens.
Amidst its own flourish gardens and listed parkland of 500 acres Lucknam has been carefully restored and offers to its guests contemporary comfort and an award winning cuisine. There are 29 guestrooms and 13 junior suites and suites with many of them featuring four-poster beds and five offering a separate living room. All of them are elegantly decorated Palladian style complimented by the hotel's discreet and personal service. Guestrooms & Suites : Each of the Lucknam Park Hotel's 13 suites and 29 guestrooms is individually decorated with antique furnishings, precious fabrics and hand-selected ornaments to blend with every guestroom's character. All bedrooms and suites feature stunning views of the park or the beautiful courtyard and luxurious marble bathrooms. Wireless Internet access is available for free in all guestrooms and all of them benefit from attention to detail and the exquisite service that the Lucknam Park Hotel is famous for.
  • The Standard Guestrooms are situated in either in the main building or around the lovely courtyard. Featuring the same standards as the higher room categories they are a little bit small but perfect for single occupany or for a shorter stay.
  • Situated in the main house, the courtyard and the cottages, the Deluxe Rooms benefit from a comfortable sitting area a lovely views. Here a rollaway for a child uo to 12 years may be added on request.
  • Located in the courtyard and cottages, there are the Lucknam Park Hotel's four Park Suites, which are generous junior suites. All of them feature splendid views of the gardens and benefit from a large comfortable sitting area. A plus is either a four poster or sleight bed or a separate walk-in shower.
  • Situated in the main building or around the lovely courtyard, the Grand Suites offer stunning views of the gardens and the estate. No two Grand Suites are alike, they feature either a stately four-poster, an open fire place or not only a spacious sitting area but a separate drawing room.
  • Situated in the bays of the main building's front side there are two Grand Master Suites featuring splendid views of the Lucknam Park Estate. Sumptuously decorated these suites feature a very large and comfortable sitting area, an inmpressive four-poster bed, writing desk, dinner table and such niceties like a CD and video player.

Hotel Lucknam Park also features a large Equestrian Centre with a welcoming atmosphere. Both children and adults, from the beginner to the advanced rider, all guests can enjoy hacking across Lucknam Park estate or visiting local villages in the marvellous Wiltshire countryside. The centre features about 30 ponies and horses, a lunging ring and cross-country courses; riding hats, chaps, winter waterproofs and body protectors are available to hire.
