The Seiler Hotel Mont Cervin Palace is a traditional five-star deluxe alpine hotel which was opened in 1851 and taken over by Alexander Seiler in 1855. Since then it has been acknowledged as the flagship of the Seiler Group. Over the years the property has been completely renovated. In 1994 the Residence, connected to the hotel by a underground passage, was opened with 15 state-of-the-art deluxe suites. The Mont Cervin Palace has become even more beautiful with its new roof and turret-like emphasis. On the 6th floor, three new extensive suites have been created; one of them is a duplex suite with a unique view of the Matterhorn. The spa area has been renovated and enlarged to 1700 squaremetres and wellness and spa offers have been extended considerably. On the first floor, the "Daniela Steiner Beauty Spa" proposes various massages and very exclusive beauty treatments. Finally all rooms at the hotel and the Residence have been fitted with a modern communication system. Sports and souvenirs shops, hairdresser, ski school and mountain guide office are nearby. Mountain railways and cable-cars are easily reached and within walking distance.

Guestrooms & Suites : The Mont Cervin Palace consists of three interconnected buildings and has a total of 133 rooms, junior suites and suites of varying size. A majority of the rooms face south with a view of the Matterhorn, most of them with a balcony or terrace. Some junior suites and suites have a jacuzzi and most of them a fireplace. At the Residence, some of the suites dispose of a kitchenette and sauna. Size, location and decoration of the rooms and suites are different but each offers maximum comfort.
All guestrooms, junior suites and suites are equipped with colour/cable TV, radio, writing desk, direct dial telephone, voicemail, internet access, in-room safe, minibar and bathroom with shower or bathtub and hairdryer.
  • The Minimum Single Rooms have a size of 12 squaremetres and they are equipped with one single bed. The rooms offer a shower and they are soundproof.
  • The Medium Single Rooms has a size of 15 squaremetres and they are equipped with one single bed. These rooms offer a bathroom with bathtub and they are soundproof.
  • The Medium Rooms have a size of 19 to 22 squaremetres and they are equipped with two twin-size beds. These rooms facing north or west and the bathroom offer a bathtub.
  • The Maximum Rooms with a King-Size Bed have a size of 17 to 20 squaremetres for single or double occupancy. These rooms facing west and the bathroom offer a bathtub.
  • The Maximum Rooms with two Twin-Size Beds have a size of 22 to 26 squaremetres. These rooms facing south or east and most rooms offer a balcony. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub.
  • The Maximum Junior Suites have a size of 32 to 39 squaremetres and they offer a sitting area. Most of them have a balcony facing east or south. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub.
  • The Medium One-Bedroom Suites offer a separate sitting room and balcony. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub.
  • The Maximum One-Bedroom Suites have a size of 43 to 50 squaremetres. These suites feature a separate sitting room, some with fireplace, and balcony facing east or south. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub.
  • The Matterhorn Duplex Suite is located on the sixth floor of Mont Cervin Palace and offer unique view of the Matterhorn. This suite is available with one or two bedrooms.

Cuisine & Cocktails : An extensive "Dine Around" is offered in eleven restaurants within the Seiler Group. Traditional Swiss cuisine, cheese fondue and raclette specialities, Italian dishes, Japanese specialities and Sushi and fine French cuisine. In Hotel Mont Cervin are available the following restaurants.
  • The Restaurant Dining Room is subdivided into three different rooms a serves the sumptuous breakfast buffet an in the evening an exquisite dinner, "? la carte" dishes and weekly buffets and offer a large wine selection. Dinner is served in a festive ambience, supported by our clients by dressing appropriately. Jacket and tie are required for gala dinners on Fridays (in winter).
  • Enjoy your meal in the informal ambience of Grill Le Cervin. This restaurant serves meats and fish tastefully prepared on the charcoal grill and market fresh produce from the French kitchen and offer large wine selection. The Grill La Cervin is open for lunch and dinner.
  • In good weather the small sun Terrace in front of the hotel invites you to taste a light lunch, or a snack, coffee and pastry in the afternoon and a cocktail in the early evening hours.
  • The Rendezvous Bar and Lobby is located in the hall and here guests meet for cocktails, informal conversation, for an after-dinner drink and sometimes also to shake a leg with daily piano entertainment in the evening.

Leisure & Wellness : Spa and Beauty is a tradition at the Mont Cervin Palace. The Mont Cervin Palace disposes of an enlarged swimming area with in- and outdoor pool and a separate children?s paddling pool, saunas and steam baths, whirlpools, solariums and a fitness room. In winter, this area is reserved exclusively for the clients of the Mont Cervin Palace and the sister hotels Monte Rosa and Nicoletta. Solarium, massages and all other treatments have to be paid. On the first floor, the "Daniela Steiner Beauty Spa" will propose different massages and very exclusive beauty treatments with top quality products, ingredients being exclusively of plant origin, all in a select and refined area. Non-hotel guests are also welcome in this area. Massages and beauty parlour appointments are imperative.
Inhouse ski service for ski and boot hire or ski repairs (Winter only). Tennis courts and curling rinks are available nearby. Mountain biking, year-round skiing, cross county skiing, helicopter flights, heli-skiing, scenic walks, mountain walks, glacier trekking, paragliding, wine tastings, excursions for skiers and non-skiers. Ski teachers and mountain guides are available through the hotel.
Zermatt, with its wind-protected southern location, embraces three skiing areas which enjoy superb snow conditions and the longest skiing season in the Alps. The 394 km of ski runs include slopes ranging from the simplest to the most challenging. Easy access is provided by an extensive network of 74 transport facilities, with high-capacity cableways, mountain railways and ski-lifts (incl. Cervinia, Italy) capable of conveying up to 75180 passengers an hour. This white wonderland and the magic of the Matterhorn combine to create endless opportunities for ski-tours and a vast variety of all-inclusive arrangements.
Zermatt has many opportunities for hiking. There are numerous well-marked footpaths and walks (400 km in all) which will take you through pine-scented mountain forests, to the shores of calm Alpine lakes and to the ice-blue glaciers. Mountain railways make it easy to reach the high altitude rambling areas. There are many mountain cabins and restaurants ready to offer a warm welcome and a leisurely rest. Situated at the foot of the Matterhorn and surrounded by 38 fourthousend-meter high mountains, Zermatt has always been the beloved goal for mountain climbers from all over the world.

Other Facilites : Zermatt is a car-free resort. If you travel by car, the village of Taesch (5 km outside of Zermatt) is your final destination. The hotel should be glad to reserve a covered parking space for you at the new "Welcome Parking" of the Seiler Hotels. Shuttle from and to Taesch.
