Each of "The Carlyle's" 128 rooms and 52 suites have been individually decorated and appointed with the finest fabrics, rugs, antique boudoir chairs, Frette linens, and deluxe bathrobes. The walls are adorned with original Audubon prints, architectural renderings by Piranesi, and English country scenes by Kips. Some accommodations feature private terraces, grand pianos, and spectacular views of the city's skyline. All rooms and suites are equipped with direct dial telephone, facsimile machine, voicemail, dataport access, TV, radio, CD player, minibar and bathroom with hairdryer, make-up mirror and bathrobe.
- The Standard Rooms have a size of approximate 32 squaremeters with king-bed and they are handsomely appointed and comfortable and offering an interior or Madison Avenue location.
- The Superior Rooms have the benefit of having more space than the Standard Rooms and offer a choice of either two twin beds or one king-size bed. Each has an interior or Madison Avenue location between floors 3-16 and offer a size of approximate 37 squaremeters.
- The Deluxe Rooms offer generous accommodation with large entrance foyers, spacious closets, and a comfortable sitting area. The bright rooms are available with a king-size bed or two twin beds and some offer a small pantry area, ideal for longer visits. Located between floors 3-16, Deluxe Rooms feature a view of Madison Avenue or 76th Street and have a size of approximate 46 squaremeters.
- The Premier Rooms are the most luxurious and spacious guestrooms of "The Carlyle" and offer a choice of a more spacious corner room with sofa facing Madison Avenue or accommodation in the tower with breathtaking views of the New York skyline. These rooms have a size between 42 to 48 squaremeters.
- The Standard Suites are handsomely appointed one-bedroom suites traditionally decorated and available with either a pantry or powder room. These suites have a king-size bed and a quiet courtside location and some feature a kitchenette or pantry area. The Standard Suites are located on floors 3 to 12 and have a size of 60 squaremeters.
- The Superior Suites have a king-size bed and a quiet location. A large entrance foyer leads into a generously sized living room. Area rugs, antique prints, and traditional furnishings create a residential atmosphere. Some feature kitchenettes or pantries and very large closets. An additional bedroom can be added at an additional charge. The Superior Suites are located on floors 3 to 16 and have a size of 65 squaremeters.
- The >B>Deluxe Suites are generous-sized one-bedroom suites with an entrance foyer and ample closet space. These bright and comfortable suites are complemented by a Steinway or Baldwin grand piano. Each suite features a pantry and most have a powder room. The Deluxe Suites are located on floors 3 to 14 and have a size of 79 squaremeters.
- The Carlyle Suites are exclusive one-bedroom corner suites and they are luxuriously appointed with elegant antiques and rich fabrics. Each of the four Carlyle Suites offers a Steinway or Baldwin grand piano, a spacious entrance foyer, and a powder room. These suites have a size of 93 squaremeters.
- The Carlyle's most luxurious accommodations, the Tower Suites are individually unique. Two of these offer Central Park views through a picture window in the living room, a full kitchen, a piano, a bedroom with a king-size bed, and a large foyer with a powder room. These suites can connect with an adjoining room to make a two-bedroom suite. The third Tower Suite offers a large raised living room with high ceilings and a grand piano. This is a two-bedroom suite with a king-size bedroom and an additional guestroom with two twin beds. Located on the 22nd floor, the suite also includes a full kitchen and dining room. These suites have a size between 109 to 167 squaremeters.
