In april 2008, the city of zurich welcomes the return of one of its best-known landmarks, the five star deluxe hotel The Dolder Grand celebrates its reopening after a completely restoration. This unique hotel is ideally located between the pulsating and vibrant life of the city centre of Zurich and the magnificent natural green lanscape on the eastren outskirts of the city.The hotel was opened originally as the spa-hotel "Curhaus" in the year 1899 to combine luxury, wellness and relaxation amidst the stunning Swiss surroundings. In 2004 it got temporarily closed to enable a completely restoration by the famous british architect Norman Foster. During the renovation the hotel got a mostly original look from 1899, several buildings, built in the 1920ies, were pulled down. Additionally, there were two new wings added, that embrace the old building. Under the old fundaments, there were two new floors added and the façade of the historic main building was restored to the original state of 1899.
This hotel offers 173 guestrooms inclusive of 59 suites on four floors in the historic main building and the two new wings. All rooms and suites are decorated in an elegant and luxury style and offers all modern comfort. In the main building the rooms and suites are decorated in the histrical style, while the rooms in the new wings are appointed in a modern style.

The Dolder Grand Hotel offers two restaurant with excellent cuisine and finest wines, in the summertime also on the terrace and the bar offers delicious cocktails in a stylish ambience.
The spa area of "The Dolder Grand" is located on a space of 4,000 squaremetres (43,000 square feet) with 19 treatment rooms, two spa-suites, indoor pool, outdoor and indoor whirlpool, fitness centre, sauna and steam bath.
The Dolder Grand offers eight meeting rooms with state-of-the-art conference technology for up to 500 guests for any occasion like business and social events such as seminars, conferences, informal meals, exclusive dinners and banquets.

The guestrooms and suites in the main building offer an elegant and historical ambience while the rooms in the new wings are decorrated in a modern style.
All guestrooms, junior suites and suites are equipped with air conditioning, cable and satellite TV, radio, alarm clock, writing desk, international dirct dial telephone, dataport, coffee and tee making facilities, minibar, safe and bathroom with bathtub/shower, hairdryer, bathrobes, telepfone and bathroom amenities.

- The Suite 100 is inspirated by the Rolling Stones, the personification of rock and roll at its best, and the 100 Club in London. This extravagant and unconventional suite has a size of 170 squaremetres (1,830 square feet) and is located on the top floor of the Spa Wing. This top suite is designed with retro-style furnishings and a black and pink décor and remind of the Swinging Sixtiens. The Suite 100 consist of a bedroom, an adjoining spacious bathroom with whirlpool bathtub, steamshower and sauna, separate living room with corner sofas and pink loungers, a dining room with en-suite kitchen as well as a meeting room for 10 guests. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer limitless of space and the terrace offers views of the histotic main building and the Lake Zürich.

- The Masina Suite is inspired by Giulietta Masina, a famous actress and the wife of Federico Felline and reminds of the glamour of the world of cinema and the 1950s. The Masina Suite is located on the top floor of the Spa Wing and consists of two separate bedrooms, each with a dark green marble bathroom with whirlpool bathtub, one of them also features a steam shower and a sauna, a spacious living room with an elegant light-coloured Fendi sofa and a billiard table as well as a dining room with kitchen. - The Maestro Suite is inspired by Herbert von Karajan, the famous conductor and classical music influences the classical archtecture.
