The Hotel Raphael is located on Avenue Kleber in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. This avenue is one of the twelve avenues leading out of Place Charles de Gaulle, the former Place de l'Etoile. Avenue Kleber is named after Jean Baptiste Kléber, a French general during the French Revolutionary Wars. Avenue Kléber runs from Place Charles de Gaulle to Place du Trocadéro.
Place Charles de Gaulle, historical known as Place de l'Etoile, is a large road junction in Paris and it is the meeting point of twelve avenues, including the Avenue des Champs-Élysées which continues to the east. This place was renamed in 1970 following the death of the general and president Charles de Gaulle. The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famaous monuments in Paris and is sitated in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle and Paris Axe historique ("historical axis") cuts through the Arc de Triomphe.
The Place du Trocadéro, site of the Palais de Chaillot, is an area of Paris, France, in the 16th arrondissement, across the river Seine from the Eiffel Tower. The hill of the Trocadéro is the hill of Chaillot, a former village. Today the square is officially named Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, although it is usually simply called the Place du Trocadéro.
