The Avenue des Champs-Élysées is one of the most prestigious avenues in the world and is located in the northwestern part of Paris in the 8th arrondissement. The Avenue des Champs-Élysées is bounded in the east by the Place de la Concorde and in the west by the Place Charles de Gaulle, the former Place de'Étoille, with the Arc de Triomphe.
