The five-star Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome is the newest luxurious hotel in the city centre of Berlin Mitte and opened in October 2006 and it is idally situated next to the boulevard "Unter den Linden" and several historic builings, such as the State Opera, the domed St. Hedwigs Cathedral and the Berliner Dome and within walking distance the world-renowned Brandenburg Gate, famous Museum Island, the Gendarmenmarkt, the Potsdamer Platz and the Friedrichstrasse with its exquisite shops and finest boutiques and the government buildings Reichstag and Chancellors Office.
Hotel de Rome is situated in a completely restored historical building, originally construced in a neo-classical style inspired by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, by the architect Ludwig Heim in the year 1889. Until 1945 the building was the head office of Dresdner Bank. The Hotel de Rome is one of the few deluxe-hotels in Berlin which housed in an original historic building offering architectural splendour and elegance. The interior is designed by Tommaso Ziffer in a contemporary style. Guestrooms & Suites : The Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome in Berlin offers 146 guestrooms, junior suites and suites, elegantly decorated by Tommaso Ziffer in a contemporary style with neo-classical influence. Most of the rooms offer classical proportions and high ceilings.

  • The Classic Rooms have a size of 35 squaremetres (377 square feet) and they are equipped either with one king-size bed or two twin-size beds. The spacious marble mosaic bathroom offers a bathtub, separate shower and bidet.
  • The Deluxe Rooms have a size of 40 to 45 squaremetres (431 to 484 square feet) and they are equipped with one king-size bed. These rooms are elegantly and comfortably decorated in a contemporary style and they offer high ceilings and classical proportions. The spacious marble mosaic bathroom offers a bathtub, separate shower and bidet.
  • The Junior Suites have a size of 45 to 55 squaremetres (484 to 592 square feet) and they offer stunning view to Bebelplatz. The Junior sutes are elegantly and comfortably decorated in a contemporary style and they offer high ceilings and classical proportions and they offer a spacious separate living area and dressing area. The large marble mosaic bathroom offers a bathtub, separate shower and bidet.
  • The Executive Suites have a size of 50 to 65 squaremetres (538 to 700 squarefeet) and some of these suites offer a terrace and breathtaking view of Bebelplatz. These suites are decorated in a contemporary style with classical proportions and high ceilings and they consist of a bedroom, a spacious living room, guest toilet and dressing room. The large marble mosaic bathroom offers a bathtub, separate shower and bidet.
  • The Deluxe Suites have a size of 70 to 85 squaremetres (753 to 915 square feet) and some of these suites offer a roof terrace with stunning view of Bebelplatz. These suites are decorated in a contemporary style with classical proportions and high ceilings and they consist of a bedroom, a spacious living room, guest bathroom and dressing room. The large marble mosaic bathroom offers a bathtub, separate shower and bidet.
  • The Presidential Suite has a size of 105 squaremetres (1,130 square feet) and provides highest security standards like bullet proofed windows and walls. This suite is elegantly and luxuriously decorated and consists of a bedroom, a dressing room, a spacious separate living room with grand piano, a dining room, butler kitchen, guest toilet and a large terrace with view of Bebelplatz. The large marble mosaic bathroom is equipped with bathtub, separate shower and bidet and offers view of Bebelplatz.

  • The restaurant Mara's offers German cuisine and Italien and Mediterranean specialities with view of the large terrace on Bebelplatz, which offers al-fresco dining during the summer month.
